Keeping your 4h flag clean and making minor repairs as soon as you see them is the best way to extend its life. Cleaning your 4h flag helps prevent the growth of mildew, which can cause damage and discoloration. When storing your 4h flag, keep it dry and fold it triangularly.
Trump Tank Flag: Symbolism and Controversy Surrounding Political Support
4-H is a youth-led network that empowers young people to become confident, competent and caring citizens by enabling them to participate in hands-on learning experiences guided by their adult volunteers and staff. The H’s in 4-H stand for Head, Heart, Hands and Health. 4-H is a program of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, United States Department of Agriculture.
The 4-H clover symbol was first used in Maine as early as 1915, on a tomato to identify Extension Boys’ and Girls’ Club Work (Gardening and Canning) programs. This tomato emblem was replaced by the current 4-H Clover on a green background in 1925, when the first National 4-H Supply Service was organized.
The use of the 4-H name and emblem is optional, but if used to publicize events or represent activities as official 4-H functions, they must conform to certain regulations. See Using the 4-H Name and Emblem(link is external) for more information. Anyone who suspects a violation should contact the UCCE county director at the county level.
